I am participating in this fun artists link up. I love a challenge. And I am not exactly sure how this goes but I think that I answer the questions below and then give you links to a couple of my fav artist friends. That is easy cuz I love the two girls you will find below and the friend who invited me as well! So please go take a look at their blogs!
First of all, let me say thank you to Tommy Jo at http://yayascrapbooking.blogspot.ca/ for inviting me to participate in this art link up! So much fun!
1) What are you working on?
Well, I am really excited because we just finished publishing our book Warrior Love: A Journal to Inspire Your Fiercely Alive Whole Self. And as a result of that us girls are involved in some really exciting ventures around thatll!!!! And also I am working on a personal book combining my art and musings. I am finding this to be a much more challenging adventure than I would ever have imagined. I am learning so much about myself with this project. So, I know I am exactly where I am suppose to be.I am always inspired to paint new pieces.
2) How does you work differ from others of its genre?
I am not sure a hundred percent. But, I think everyone has a different take on what can even be a similar life experience. Diversity is one of things I love most about creativity.I see a lot of artwork that is somewhat similar to mine, but yet it could not be more different at the same time. I use my art to express my musings on my life, much like one would journal. Afterwards, I read my art like a book and it tells me what I know from a deeper level of my consciousness, about my life. I believe my art brings my deeper awareness's to the surface making those little pearls of wisdom accessible to me in the now. This then allows me to integrate what I get out of my art, into the life I am choosing to live. I think, on a whole, my art makes me a better, more balanced human being.
3) Why do you write/create what you do?
I don't know really. I just sit down when I get an urge to paint or write and then it just comes out of me. I do know that I love life and love to be a part of the bigger picture. I love using my art to open the channels of lasting relationships. I have made several really close friends as a result of my art. The friends I met by collaborating on our book are a good example of this. How did it happen? I don't know. I think the Universe orchestrates these things and if I show up and say "yes" I get to experience all sorts of magical moments! I love Laura, Atousa and Mary. Sharing in this project with them has created friends for life, and now we are forever bound together in our sweet and spiritual love book we manifested into the physical realm!
4) How does your writing/creating process work?
I get an urge and I sit down and do something. I am never certain what will happen, but something does. I think when you have claimed your Creative Spirit, being creative becomes something you have to do. Without it I would feel so empty and once again question what my purpose is. I think when you do art it becomes part of your soul! For me art, in all of its forms is my Purpose.
The two artists I have chosen to link to are:
Mary Claire is an artist who strives to create imaginatively and meaningfully and to help others boldly embrace their passions. After recently being diagnosed with lupus, she turned to art for healing and continues to participate in international and local exhibitions. In addition to doing public art for the city of Buffalo, she enjoys donating her time and art to community art projects and various charities and has work in private collections from Buffalo, NY to Los Angeles, CA. More art by Mary Claire can be seen and purchased on her website at:
What started out as a blog for me to blab on the internet has turned into such a fun way to share my love for art and be able to teach others to love their abilities to do art! Follow me on facebook to get the latest posts to my blog, get updates on sales going on, and to hear random thoughts that run through my head! (wink)
Thanks for taking the time to drop by and see what I am up to! Remember. we are ALL artists! Nothing I am doing is exceptional. I am just exercising my birth right. And you can too! Always feel free to share what you are up to here or on my Facebook page! I love to bask in your joy and Creativity as well!
